These Stainless Steel balls go through two processes:
Annealing - where they're heated quickly and allowed to cool slowly.
Passivation - where a light coating of metal oxide is applied.
Both of which help them resist corrosion more effectively.
You'll find them widely used in valves, aerosols and finger pumps (spray, dispenser and trigger sprays) as well as household items like coffee makers and grinders.
