These are fine grained, strong balls made from an alloy of copper, tin and phosphorus.
Tough. High corrosion resistance to water, steam, mineral oils and petroleum spirit, good electrical conductivity.
Widely used in electrical apparatus.
These balls are made from an alloy of 70% copper and 30% zinc; they are fairly ductile and extremely malleable.
Good resistance to corrosion by water, fuel oil, gasoline, kerosene and alcohol; very good electrical conductor. Note: unstable in acid and alkalis.
Found in many household electrical appliances.
We make three different kinds of glass balls - Soda Lime Glass, Borosilicate and Lead Glass.
When polished, glass balls provide an excellent seal for check valves; they offer good chemical resistance along with high electrical insulation.
Ideal for check valves in pharmaceutical, food and photographic processing equipment.
These balls are made from aluminium, a soft and ductile metal.
They weigh less than steel balls, conduct heat and electricity efficiently and are highly resistant to corrosion (though they have low mechanical strength).
Often found in the stud welding industry where they're used instead of fasteners.
These balls are made from a Nickel Chromium Molybdenum Tungsten alloy which offers excellent corrosion resistance, especially against crevice and pitting corrosion.
These offer many of the same characteristics as stainless steel balls with one important difference - they remain stable at very high temperatures; up to 1040 C.
You'll find these balls being used in the treatment of waste, marine engineering as well as pulp and paper production.
We're happy to supply both Polishing Balls and Polishing Shapes in most materials. Please get in touch with our friendly sales staff to discuss your specific requirements.
Accuracy is our trademark at TN UK. We pride ourselves on our ability to measure and calibrate the products we manufacture. Housing some of the most sophisticated equipment in the world, our annually assessed UKAS lab means we guarantee the precision of the products we supply.
On top of that, we maintain regular and open communication directly with you and any relevant departments to ensure that you get exactly what you need when you need it.
We also offer a recalibrate service for your existing gauges, CMM Reference balls and Master Ball Sets. So you can rest assured that, whether we are supplying a new product or recalibrating an existing one, by meeting our strict standards, your company meets its strict standards (particularly important for other calibration assessed companies).
