Home > Distribution > Ball Products > Stainless Steel AISI 420 / 420C
These high grade stainless steel balls have a lower chrome content than the 440C versions - which reduces the cost - but otherwise they have similar characteristics.
Notably a high resistance to corrosion from fresh water, steam, ammonia, petroleum products, blood, perspiration, alcohol and food.
Note: they will not pass the standard 40 hour salt spray test.
These balls strike a first-rate balance between mid-level corrosion resistance and material strength at a cost effective price.
You'll find these balls commonly used on bicycles, instruments used for calibration and examinations, as well as in lighters, pens, bearings and valves.
